HFT tubing is an industrial product not normally associated with jewellery. In UNFURL Kelly sensitively manipulates this material to capture the movement and life force of growth.
Lynn Kelly's passion for plants has inspired much of her jewellery. The historical use of plants to inform jewellery is rich and deep and UNFURL continues Kelly's ongoing personal examination of the botanical. Each work is an exquisite specimen of New Zealand native flora, unique emblems of this land.
Lynn Kelly is a Christchurch based jeweller who has been making jewellery since 1988. Her jewellery features in many private and public collections, including Te Papa Tongarewa, (New Zealand's national museum) and the Dowse Art Museum.
