'Making my way (home)'
"I once heard that we can get to know ourselves through the things we make. I think this is a process that never ends, and this work is part of that journey.
These pieces continue an exploration of my Pakeha identity in post-colonial New Zealand. Using my rural background as reference, I have chosen specific materials and responded to them. I pull apart, play, and push them to form new identities – reconfigurations that move away from but still speak of their origins."
